Day 5: Engaging Prayer
FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2020
Go Big
“Here as in Heaven” by Elevation Worship Spirit of God, fall fresh on us.
We need your presence.
Your kingdom come, your will be done.
Here as in Heaven.
What’s the craziest, biggest prayer you’ve ever lifted up to God?
Two come to mind for me. The first is from my teen years, when I would often stay awake late into the night, crying out to God because I was convinced that He was real, but I had never experienced Him in the way that some of my friends had. And wow, did He ever answer that prayer!
The second big prayer has been with me for only a couple of years, on repeat. I pray for God to teach me what it’s like to live as a citizen of heaven, so I can share the feeling with others. Quite literally, I desire to walk the streets and smell the breeze, to feel the dew on my skin and see if my eyes can even stay open in the radiance of His forever-bright glory.
After all, it’s hard to be an emissary of a place you’ve never even visited. Right?
So I ask again: What’s the craziest, biggest prayer you’ve ever lifted up to God?
“May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.”
[Matt. 6:10, NLT]
